OTHER INFORMATION: Chardonnay is the standard grape used for white wines. In cool climates the wine made from Chardonnay is usually aged in small oak barrels to create strong flavors and aromas. It is grown around the world because of its versatility, and is an important component of most sparkling wines. Susceptible to bunch rots and fruit mildew.
